Documents Needed for Visitor Visa Sponsorship

H-1B Visas
Affidavit of Support Form: This form must be completed by the visitor visa sponsor and is a declaration to their ability to financially support their relative while they are in the United States. Employment Letter: This is a statement from your employer that verifies your current employment. For authenticity, it should be written on business stationary. In addition, it must contain information about the nature and date range of your employment, the salary you are paid and whether your position is permanent or temporary. Bank Letter: This is a letter from your bank that verifies your bank account details. As with your employment letter, the bank letter should be written on business stationary to add to its authenticity. In addition, it should contain information regarding the date your bank account(s) were opened, the total year end deposits, the present balance, and the yearly average balance. It is important to understand that these letters can be difficult to obtain, as many banks are very busy. The bank letter should be supported with bank statements for the preceding 6 months.

Letter to the Consulate: This is a letter from the sponsoring parting that states that will support the visitor while they reside in the United States. Letter of Invitation: This is a formal invitation written to your visitor, personally inviting them to the United States. While the format of this letter is less important than those described above, it must still address a variety of topics.
